Good Morning and welcome to the Friday Trail Mix.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is in Western New York today. She wrote recently to the U.S. Small Business Administration asking them to reach out to Buffalo business owners feeling the pinch because of the NHL lockout. There's a workshop this afternoon to advise them of supports that are available.

Earlier in the day she'll stop in Syracuse at the Upstate Medical Hospital and a tour the Eastman Business Park in Rochester to build profile for federal funding for the NY Battery and Energy Storage Technology Commercialization Center, (NY-BEST).

More updates after the jump.
