Fracking backlash hits Albany

A coalition of nearly 50 organizations is pressing governor Andrew Cuomo to issue a statewide ban on the most controversial type of natural gas drilling, hydrofracking.

More than 100 protestors joined in on a rally at the capitol this morning and accused the DEC and the governor of favoring New Yorkers who live in the Syracuse and New York City watersheds, and putting public health at risk.
