The mayors of four upstate New York cities met yesterday to discuss financial troubles.

A proposed downtown Rochester hotel won a tax break.

Tax breaks

Syracuse's second-ever 30 year tax break needed one more OK from the city's industrial development agency (IDA) - which it got (Tim Knauss, The Post-Standard).

Syracuse's development agency also gave the go-ahead to a developer to build a new apartment complex near the city's Inner Harbor (Tim Knauss, The Post-Standard).
